My Speech

For my speech I wrote about why I'm so unique and different to everyone in the world. Our speeches had to be at least 2 minutes 30 or at the most 3 minutes 30 or just in between . We had about 3 whole weeks to get our speeches completed. We had a choice of when we wanted to share. The choices were Tuesday or Wednesday I choose Tuesday because then  it would be all over and done with. When my time came I was very nervous but I knew that I would try my best and even if I didn't get through I knew that I had tried my hardest and that was all that mattered. The way that we judged the best 4 people was we had a piece of paper and we scored everyone who shared. Unfortunately I did not get into the semi finals but I didn't really care. I had alot of fun doing speeches it was also very interesting to hear what everyone had come up with. speeches rock. Here is a photo of me doing my speech!!!

Cross country

On your mark get set go!!! About a month ago the Senior syndicate did cross country. The cross country was held at Minogue park which is right behind the TeRapa pools. We had to walk to Minogue park but it wasn't that far so it was fine. When we got there Diane (One of the project energize helpers) told us were we  had to run. We sat on the ground until it was our turn. When I was our turn we did some stretches with Mr Freak then that's right we started our race Mr Peachy said on your mark get see go!!! My  strategy was to keep a good pace, and I kept a fast pace all the way through. I came 5th. But I was really proud of my self and I had fun and that what counts right? After my race I sat down and have a big drink. Then I cheered on all my friends on. Once we had all finished our races we stared to walk back to school I was so tired I felt sorry for my legs also my wet muddy body. When we got back to school most children got into dry warm clothes Then we just carried on to a normal school day. I had a blast at cross country and everyone come back happy and very tired. Cross country was a muddy experience that was fun!!!

Gymsport

Go Vardon!!! The senior syndicate decided we would start up something called gym-sport. We decided to do this because most people went to kapa haka. So the people who did not go to kapa haka got to do something really cool and exciting as well. The first thing we did was went to room 15 and choose what sport we wanted to be part of. The choices were cheer leading, hip hop and aerobics. I choose to do cheer leading because I have always liked cheer leading. Then every Wednesday when the kapa haka people went we would go to whatever classroom the teacher that was leading their team. Then of course we practice practice, practice. Then one week we went to the competition. There was only a few of different school's so we ended up versing each other which was a bit dumb. When we got there we got straight into it and started cheer leading first then aerobics and then last but not least hip hop. Cheer leading came 3rd and hip hop came 1st . I really enjoyed gym sport it was so much fun and a great experience.a BIG thank you to all the teachers that helped the kids out!!!
