1. Anzac ceremonies happen at dawn because they remember the dawn landing at Gallipoli.
2. Gallipoli is in Turkey
3. The Anzac letters stand for Australian New Zealand Army corps.
4. The 25th of April is special to us as New Zealanders because a lot of people went to war to serve our country and sadly most people died. They didn't make it back.
These are my answers for the wickED challenge. This was an easy challenge for me because I already know a little bit about Anzac stuff. I had lots of fun doing this and learnt a little bit to. I hoped you have enjoyed reading this:)
Hi Tia
ReplyDeleteYou have worked hard with your research. The 25th of April is especially important to us because that is the day the ANZAC's landed in Gallipoli and many lives were lost because the ANZAC's landed in the wrong place and the Turks had the advantage over them. Does your family have any history with war or ANZAC day?
To Mrs Parkinson,
ReplyDeleteHi thank you for commenting on my blog. My family dosen't know much about war but I have learnt a little bit. Bye Thanks again Tia:)
