Science Experiments

On Thursday the 14th of November Team 12 did three experiments with Mrs D. The experiments were inflating a balloon, exploding a bag, and making  malt vinegar and baking soda squirt out of a bottle.This happened because the gas atoms inside the little space were causing pressure and it needed to expand causing the object to pop or explode. All our experiments were successful because we tried different ways so that we could do the best one then it would work.My favourite part of doing science is watching the object explode and also if we are eating yummy food that have something to do with science. I really enjoy science it is alot of fun. My favourite experiment was the one when we made the vinegar and baking soda squirt out of the bottle.It was very smelly.

This is a photo peach of vardon school's amazing,mind blowing and cool wow trasion show. Why did we do this show you ask. Perseverance

My goal to achieve in the next 2 weeks is to keep running and not STOP in cross country.

My other goal is to make my writing as tidy as in my handwriting book. I'm going have to persevere very hard.

Bridge posters

This is my cool bridge poster.

Next time I think I could draw my boats bigger. I am proud of my work because I put a lot of hard work into my poster especially my boarder. This took 2 days to complete. I was lucky because Matua Darren helped me with my title and Chakyla helped me colour in my boarder.

This is a photo of me and Natalie.Next time I think we could not use so much tape and use more glue. I achieved my goal because our truss bridge could hold two glass jars.

This is me and Natalie Joll we are making a truss bridge. The tricky part was to build all the trusses. I am proud of making this bridge because I put a lot of hard work into the bridge.

My river walk

On Thursday the 2ND of June room 8 went for a river walk. The first thing we did was go to the very OLD steam boat wreckage then.... shhh shhh we're in the museum to have a look at the te winka boat. Did you know that the Maori queen gave the museum the te winika boat. After that just to name a few, we sketched the Victoria, laudian's bridge last the fairfield bridge. Then school time.
